Season is designed around a local practice game. The current build stores gameplay records, local social content, selected photos, and any local sign-in projection on your device. It does not include a remote Season multiplayer account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or purchase flow. Optional Sign in with Apple is handled through Apple's platform flow.
Who we are and scope
Season is operated by the developer identified on Season's App Store product page. This Privacy Policy applies to the Season iOS application and these published legal pages. References to "Season," "we," "us," and "our" mean that operator. References to "you" mean a person who accesses or uses Season.
Season is a fictional civic strategy game. Elections, budgets, residents, invitations, ballots, projects, and outcomes are simulated practice content. Season is not a real election service, public-office communication system, financial product, or source of measured civic outcomes.

This summary is intended to help you understand the policy. The sections below provide the fuller description.
Information we may receive
Account and sign-in information
If you choose Sign in with Apple, the platform authentication flow may return an app-specific user identifier, a display name, and an email address, depending on the choices you make through Apple and the permissions available to the app. The current Season build may store that account projection in local preferences so it can restore the signed-in display state across launches. The current build does not create a remote Season account.
Season also includes local demonstration credentials. Those credentials are test fixtures for the preview experience and are not a real registration service. Do not enter sensitive or real personal information into demonstration fields.
Gameplay and authored content
Season may process content you create or record while using the app, such as a fictional town name, candidate roles, authored campaign statements, costed promises, manual practice ballots, budget decisions, project records, reports, blocks, journal notes, closing reflections, chat messages, Town Square posts, likes, and exported reports. In the current build, this content is primarily stored locally.
Photos you choose
Season uses the iOS system photo picker when you choose a profile photo, attach up to nine photos to a local chat message, or add an image to a Town Square post. The app may crop a profile photo and resize or compress selected images before storing them in app-owned local storage.
The system photo picker limits Season to the items you deliberately select and does not give the app general access to your photo library. The current build does not use the camera and does not upload selected images to a remote Season service.
Communications
If you contact us through a support or legal channel, we may receive the information you choose to include, such as your contact details, the content of your message, and records needed to respond. Do not send sensitive information that is not necessary for your request.
Platform and technical information
Apple and other platform providers may process information as part of app distribution, Sign in with Apple, system services, crash handling, or device operation under their own terms and privacy policies. The current Season build is not designed to collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or network activity for its own analytics or advertising purposes.
Information stored locally
Season may store app-owned records in protected local storage, including a local database and local preferences. These records support the practice terms, campaign and budget actions, audit history, safety choices, and local sign-in state described in the app.
Local records, including selected images, may remain on your device until you delete the local account and its data, clear the app's data through system controls where available, or remove the app. Some operating-system records, backups, or copies of shared content may be governed by Apple or by another service you choose to use, and may remain subject to that provider's controls.
When you choose the native share sheet, Season hands information to the destination you select. We do not control the destination's handling of that information. Review the destination's privacy practices before sharing.
How we use information
We may use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Season experience.
- Restore a local sign-in projection and display the app's current state.
- Store, calculate, display, export, and delete gameplay records at your direction.
- Maintain safety choices, audit history, and local account controls.
- Respond to support, privacy, legal, and data-rights requests.
- Protect the app, users, and legal rights; detect misuse; and enforce the Terms of Service.
- Comply with applicable law and respond to valid legal process.
- Evaluate and improve the product in ways that are consistent with the current build and this policy.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information for lawful operational and analytical purposes. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted by law.
How information may be shared
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Platform and service providers. Providers that support app distribution, platform authentication, infrastructure, security, communications, or support may process information as necessary to provide those services.
- At your direction. If you export a record or use a native share sheet, information may be sent to a destination you select.
- Legal and protective purposes. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of Season.
- Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
- Affiliates and professional advisers. We may share information with affiliates, auditors, lawyers, and other advisers that need it for legitimate business purposes and are subject to appropriate obligations.
The current build does not include a remote Season multiplayer service that receives your gameplay content. It also is not designed to include advertising or analytics SDKs. If these practices change, we will update this policy and the app's disclosures before the change takes effect.
Cookies and advertising identifiers
The current Season app experience is not designed to use browser cookies, advertising identifiers, or cross-context behavioral advertising. Platform providers may use their own technologies under their policies when providing authentication, app distribution, and related services.
You can use device-level settings to limit tracking, personalized advertising, and other platform features. Those settings are controlled by the operating system and may not affect information processed independently by a platform provider.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain local functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect the service, and enforce our agreements. Local gameplay records, social content, selected images, and local account projections generally remain until you delete the local account and its data, clear app data where the system permits it, or remove the app.
Support and legal correspondence may be retained for as long as needed to resolve the matter, document the request, and meet legal obligations. Information may remain in backups or archival systems for a limited period where applicable. We may retain information when the law requires it or when it is needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
To delete the local account and its app-owned data, use the account deletion control in Season. The deletion summary identifies the profile photo, practice records, chats, Town Square content, safety records, and local preferences that will be removed. You may also contact us for help with a deletion or privacy request.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, obtain a copy, correct inaccurate information, delete information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where applicable, or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.
Season provides local controls for exporting and deleting app-owned records. To make another privacy request, use the contact method described in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authorization where applicable.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. A request may be limited or denied where an exception applies, where we cannot verify identity, or where the request is excessive or unfounded.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may provide you with the following rights:
- Right to know. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients.
- Right to delete. Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. Direct us not to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising where those practices apply.
- Right to limit sensitive personal information. Limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information where those rights apply.
- Right to non-discrimination. Receive equal service and pricing without discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
The current build is designed around local storage and does not include an advertising or analytics SDK. If our data practices change, this policy will be updated to describe the applicable categories, purposes, and choices.
To exercise a California privacy right, use the contact method described in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity and may ask for information necessary to match your request to relevant records.
Children's privacy
Season is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. The current build does not use a separate age-verification step. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Season, contact us through the method in Section 15 so we can review and take appropriate action.
If local law requires a higher age of digital consent or parental authorization, you may use Season only in compliance with that law.
International processing
Information may be processed in the United States and in other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate legal mechanisms for transfers and take steps intended to protect information in accordance with this policy.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Season uses protected local storage and app-controlled data boundaries for its local records. No method of storage, transmission, or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, and other credentials. If you believe your information or device has been compromised, contact the relevant platform provider and notify us through the contact method in Section 15.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in Season, our practices, or applicable law. When we make a material change, we will update the version or date and provide notice through the app, the published policy location, or another reasonable channel. The updated policy will apply from the date stated in the notice unless the law requires otherwise.
You should review this policy periodically. If you do not agree with an updated policy, you may stop using Season and use the available controls to delete local app-owned data.
